After a hiatus of almost 10 years(Simhadri being his last hit of this genre), NTR has reappeared with ENERGETIC performance once again. A HUGE transition in NTR's dialogue modulation and acting skills from his last movie. No one could have done more justice to the role other than him. The director Boyapati Seenu has done a great job with powerful screenplay and great direction all the way! The first half was very good with subtle comedy and fresh dialogues. Story goes forward in quite a good pace and maintains the intensity with an exhilarating interval bang. I felt the second half was OK due to a certain amount of dragging and a weak ending. You get to see a greater amount of violence here compared to the earlier half.
Ali was successful in generating a few laughs whereas Brahmanandam was not given much of a role. This is a hero centric movie and the female casting was hence limited to glamour and songs. Trisha was good as usual, with a slight change in her eye-color and makeup. Karthika stood up to be equally capable to Trisha in terms of acting but her bad makeup was too noticeable to be ignored. There was NIL chemistry between the hero and either of the heroines. I thanked god for how presentable the hero looked this time!
The fights were well choreographed but also funny at times. Cinematography was worth appreciating. The music was really pleasing running with a very peppy tempo. NTR has lost his previously known dancing shoes. The song 'Ruler' hasn't stood up to my expectations in cinematography but I liked the effort that was put into it. The background score particularly needs a special mention!!!
I am clearly not at all a fan of NTR but for the first time, somehow, I liked him in this movie. Worth watching once in the theater! I enjoyed the movie.
